Cleaning and upkeep

Strictly following these cleaning and upkeep instructions will guarantee protective performance and the homologation of your equipment.

HELMETS:
1. Shells:
Use auto polish or glass cleaners with a soft cloth.
Do not use any solvent as it will harm the finishing and the composite.
2. Visors:
Reflective visors must only be washed with water.
The other visors can be cleaned with glass cleaner and soft cloth.
Never use any solvent or auto polish to clean your visor.
When you fit new visors, put some lubricant without solvent on mounting kits.
3. Padding:
Can be washed in soapy water at 30°C/86°F.
If a piece becomes unglued, use neoprene contact cement.
If a rubber joint becomes unglued, it can be refitted with cyanoacrylat glue.

RACING SUITS:
Do prefer a 40°C/104°F machine wash, inside out; do not use bleach.
Industrial-cleaning and dry-cleaning are forbidden!
Avoid use of fabric softeners.
Max. spinning speed: 400rpm.
Do not iron the racing suit.
Do not tumble dry. Dry the racing suit on a hanger, inside out if it is damp (water, perspiration).
Do not stock it in its original bag unless it is perfectly dry, and put it in a dry, airy place, away from daylight and heat.
Do not expose the suits to U.V. (sun or moon).
Do not forget to keep the Velcros (collar and belt) fastened while washing.
Tears or repairs must be performed by Stand 21 to avoid loss of certification and/or warranty.
Be careful, certain detergents damage racing suits zips.

UNDERWEAR:
Wash at 40°C/104°F without detergent or bleach.
Do not tumble dry.

GLOVES:
Dry-cleaning. Don't wash with water.
Usual leather cleaning products can be used.

BOOTS:
To keep your boots in top condition, do not wear them outside your racing car (except Off-Road models).
Leather boots:
For light cleaning, use a nylon or brass brush for suede and an eraser for nubuck.
For more serious needs, use soapy water or leather stain remover. Wipe with a damp sponge.
Non-leather boots:
Do prefer a 40°C/104°F machine wash, in a bag; do not use bleach.

Upon request, and depending on the boot overall condition, Stand 21 can resole your boots.

TEAMWEAR:
Follow precisely the instruction inside the garments.
Printed garments:
Wash inside out at 30° C
No bleach
No fabric softeners
No spin cycle
Do not use dryer - Drip dry in the shade
Iron inside out at moderate temperature
